This place is a nice find amid the rural wasteland that is Bay St. Louis/Waveland. I came here as part of a private function where the second floor was reserved, so I didn't get the normal restaurant experience. However, you would think that for a private function the service would be more attentive. Not so. I arrived a bit late, but nobody seemed to notice and never offered to bring me a glass of water or anything. I had to flag somebody down. Bread was brought out, but there was no butter or olive oil. I ordered the clam chowder (which was fairly decent) but there was not pepper to be found on the tables. For my entree I ordered the soft shell crab, but it was horrifically salty. And I have a pretty high tolerance for saltiness. The pulled pork sandwich seemed really good however, as attested to by others who ordered it. Also worth mentioning is that the waitress spilled a cup of coffee on the woman sitting next to me. Overall, this is a nicely decorated place in an area where you wouldn't expect a lot. There's a nice view of the ocean and parking is ample, although on the street. I don't hang out in Bay St. Louis all that often, but if I came back I'd bet willing to try eating here again. Or on second thought, I'd just as soon go to Buttercup, the mom and pop joint up the way. They have great sandwiches.

I've eaten here a few times and none of it was by choice. I've ordered the risotto on two different occasions and both times half the rice was over cooked and the other half is under cooked. the rice stuck to my teeth. i had different chicken plates and the chicken was dry, salty and greasy. My boyfriend had eggplant and the eggplant was drenched in grease. The chips have some kind seasoning on them. I personally did not like them. The waitstaff is terrible. I had to shake my glass to get a refill. The waiter seemed clueless and he hardly ever came to check on us. Every time I eat there I spend the rest of the day in the bathroom. The steak was cooked perfectly and the decor s cool. I was told by a member in my party that the po-boys are good.

I loved the atmosphere here! We started in the Hurricane Hunter Bar drinking amazing Lazy Magnolia beer flights and eating fresh Oysters. I can vouch for the fried catfish, the seafood linguine, and an awesome cheeseburger. Oh and don't pass up Miss Ann's Pecan Pie - Nom Nom.

I make the drive from the D'iberville just to eat here! The Blackened Redfish covered in crawfish etouffee is unbelievable if you like a little spice. The atmosphere does leave a little to wish for if you sit inside. But don't sit inside, the view of the harbor is wonderful!! And the food more than makes up for anything else!

Visited the day after the Ice Storm of 2014, they were open. Service was excellent, the Staff (all the staff) were Courteous, Friendly and Professional. They actually acted like they appreciated our business. A welcome encounter indeed. The food was served in a timely manner, it was hot and full of good flavors. Oysters and Oyster Shooters were very good. Without reservation we will recommend this restaurant to any traveler passing through looking for a good meal at a fair price with service we expect. Thank You.

We've been to quite a few restaurants on our trip and this one was by far our favorite. The kids' menu is great. There is paper on the table for you to draw on and keep them entertained. I had the Pasta Ann and absolutely loved it. The corn chowder was also fabulous. The pasta and other main dishes are a little pricey, but I felt that the food was worth it. The sandwiches, kids items, and daily specials are all very reasonable.

Both food and service are average. We love the location because is by the beach.

The best food on the coast, hands down. If someone comes from out of town this is where I take them.

200 North Beach is a true local gem and a history lovers dream. The building was built in 1903 to house The Sea Coast Echo newspaper. After Katrina all but destroyed her in 2005 the owners decided to restore it by reclaiming original beaded boards and exposing it's massive wooden beams. You're in for a real treat if you visit this lovely building. It's gorgeous and directly across the street from The Bay. The Ambiance This restaurant is definitely not a first date type of place. It's very loud and slightly rowdy in here. The atmosphere is fun, fun, fun and not at all intimate. And that's ok...just know what you're getting into. The Food The Caesar salad was great, the filet Mignon was tender and delicious and cooked perfectly, the Bloody Mary was awesome...but just say no to the andouille hash. It sounded good in theory. In reality it was too dry and had too much going on. The Service The sweet as pie hostess couldn't have been nicer and seated us right away but our server disappeared for too long intervals and was sort of abrupt. She kind of shoved our plates and drinks at us. They were busy, I'll give her that but if I want food shoved at me I can stay home and let my five year old serve me. Still, I'd definitely go again and it's totally worth you going as well, in my opinion...If for nothing but to see that lovely building.

I have eaten at North Beach for a few years now since I work downtown and the past 2 times the food has been horrible. Last time my friend and i ordered hamburgers and the meat looked and tasted like a pre-made patty and the bun was burnt. Then today I ordered a Ceasar salad to go and it was definitely NOT worth the $15.30 they charged for it but that includes the 10% gratuity they gave themselves. Picture to follow. I use to love this place but something has definitely changed.

Fantastic lunch. We were celebrating our anniversary and went all out with drinks, appetizer, entree and dessert. So good we would plan a trip back to Mississippi just to eat here.

Get dessert! The seasonal Fudge Pie is the BEST I have ever consumed! Chef Jake rocked it and Katie was a great server!

Fantastic food with a really nice atmosphere, great outdoor seating with a beautiful view. The desserts were to die for as was the 4-6 PM Thurs/Fri happy hour with half price oysters on the half shell. The eggplant parmesan and the veggie burger make for great vegetarian options and the seafood was nothing short of impressive. The service we had the first time was better than the second, but the second wasn't terrible and completely do-able. Ages 3-65 in our group, and everyone loved it--especially the foodie 30-somethings.

A great addition to Bay St. Louis along the beach and around the great shops! From our group we lived the peel and eat boiled shrimp, the corn and crab bisque, the gumbo and the oysters. The homemade chips with my poboy were great and the poboy was good (batter on the fried seafood was a little too salty). Crab cakes were ok - but over seasoned as well. Great atmosphere and great service - we'll be back to try more.

Great historical place to eat! Interior is tastefully done... Delicious pulled pork sandwich and grilled chicken Cobb salad. Waiters were very prompted and friendly.

North Beach is one of my favorite spots in Bay St. Louis. Their mango salsa topped fish is SO delicious and the Caesar salad is great too. If you get a full dinner with appetizer and dessert it can be a little pricy but the food is so good it's worth the extra dollar for a Cajun dinner. The bread pudding is a must! Also, during the week they have pretty good lunch specials so that's always something to check out too!

Great atmosphere for family meals. They have a great selection on their menu. We've ordered many dishes and it tastes wonderful. Local flavors that is comparable to SF standards. Service is great as well.

Yum yum yum. Nothing here is bad. Steak is cooked to perfection. Excellent staff. Highly recommended!

I used to really like this place. The fried oyster pasta was awsome I can't seem to get tasso based pastas anywhere in this area. My main problem is consistency. Sometimes it's great other times it's meh. If you catch them on a good day it's pretty good. Few things I tried were the redfish and Mahi outside of the padta. Mahi was overcooked but redfish was on point

Came from Ocean Springs on a lazy Sunday to get the Charbroiled oysters (which are always delicious!). Added the pulled pork to the items I've tried and it was a great sandwich, sweet BBQ sauce with cilantro coleslaw, a great touch. My friend had the shrimp Po-boy and it was also delicious. Have fully enjoyed myself every time I've eaten here, and the service from Josh was top notch!

I want to give this place a good review, really I do. I've tried 4 times now, and its been the same each time. Food is substandard and far too salty, and I really like salt. The location is gorgeous and the staff is great. The food needs help.

I ate here about a year ago and it was awesome, but today it seemed like an entirely different place. It was straight up terrible. Well, the oysters were actually great (both charbroiled and raw), but they were a minor highlight to a 1.5 hour ordeal where we sat unattended, culminating in the most pathetic excuse for an entree in life. I had the grilled seafood platter and the trout was overcooked, rice pilaf was just some rice undercooked in stock, soggy gross spinach somethingorother and more oil than crab claws. Cannot believe I spent close to $80 here.

We liked it all. Grilled chicken sandwich, softshell crab, burgers. All good. Kids ate well at our large group table. Service was good. Waitress was friendly and quick.

Got seated by the hostess; sat for 10-15 minutes and never got waited on. The people before us got waited on, but the waiter turned and never came to our table. We left and went to Trapani's. When leaving, a manager thanked us for coming. Little did he know, we never got waited on. I would hate to think how it is when they are busy.

We had a lovely lunch here. Shared a softshell crab poboy: the bread was toasted and then left to cool so it was really hard and inedible. However the crab was quite good. Also there was no special sauce inside, just mayo. The homemade chips on the side were nice. Overall a nice place to go with family.

On the 'seafront'. Bright clean modern place with extensive bar. Some above average wines if the lady barkeep will offer them. Food average to dull. That poor chef needs a refresh. But in the area.. Easy to park.

Delicious, great service, lovely atmosphere. Had a chicken Cobb salad and the eggplant sandwich with sweet potato fries. You could tell the food was very fresh. Was a big enough portion to split between 2 people. Really enjoyed this meal and restaurant, will be back!

We went here for a quick dinner and had a great time. We were able to sit outside on the front porch and watch a lovely sunset. We opted for the Po Boy sandwiches (shrimp & oyster) that were supposed to be "dressed" but we think they forgot the mayonnaise. Not a great loss, though, as both were very good. The seafood was fried of course but they didn't taste like fried, you could enjoy the flavors of the shrimp and oysters. The chips that came with them were quite good as well. Wine selections were above average and the local beer selection was also good. Jacques, our server made nice recommendations and checked on us often. We saw many locals in the place, always a good sign. This is another example of a local place that wants your to enjoy your time with them and serves good food at a fair price. Well worth a trip!

We have had the oportunity to enjoy the best of the bay st. Louis in this great restaurant. The food is the best you can find in town. Simply you must try it. The poboys are just the best, as well as the gumbo, and more. If you are in the area, you must try it. Hurricane hunters are the best.

"The best pulled pork sandwich on the Mississippi Gulf Coast," I declared passionately to our server as I finished up my meal. I have not been so satisfied after eating a meal in quite awhile. The pulled pork had the perfect amount of sweet and tangy BBQ sauce and came with a whole wheat bun, as well as homemade potato chips wrapped in pseudo newspaper and placed in a unique twisty holder. The pork tasted like it had just been pulled from the pig that morning. This restaurant is the crown jewel of Bay St. Louis' post~Katrina renaissance.

Waitress inexperienced. Food very slow coming out. Has potential but the wait staff are working against it.

Visited on a quiet Sunday night with my wife and daughter. After being promptly seated, we ordered a bottle of wine and the crab cakes for an appetizer. Oh .. they are so good and the two cakes were easily cut into thirds for sharing. We started our meal with soups (seafood gumbo, tomato bisque, corn chowder) ... all yummy. For dinner, shrimp poboy with fries, pasta, and a spinach salad ... all delish! The server was friendly and stopped by and chatted a bit! Great evening!

I've eaten here on several occasions. I find the atmosphere attractive, the service acceptable, and the food average but occasionally inconsistent. Entrees are on the pricey side, but "back of the menu" sandwiches are reasonable and most are very good--but I do not recommend the Cuban, which is tasteless and chewy. The restaurant is described as "good for children," but it's really an adult venue.

My family and I attended 200 at 4:00 pm for an early dinner. Though the restaurant was clean, service was extremely slow. I waited a full hour for a hamburger. Great location if you just want a cocktail.

Visited on Labor day and the place was packed. We waited about 30 minutes for a table. Wisely got an appetizer as we waited quite a while for our food. The spinach artichoke dip did not disappont. Hot and fresh lots of spinach and not much in terms of artichokes but still very very good. Spinach salad did not disappoint. Would go back again-everything along the Coast was busy that day. The server was not around much but there was a young lady who made certain that we had drinks during the entire stay.

Waited an hour for an appetizer and a couple of drinks. Good thing there was a nice view and the moon was out in all it's splendor. Not once did a server come out to our table. I had to order from the bar...

A good restaurant in a town with not a lot of options that aren't fast food or seafood/po boy joints. That having been said, they try a little too hard and lots of times it doesn't turn out so well. Had the grilled tuna salad and the tuna was tough, friend had the grilled shrimp and they were cold, etc.

Enjoyed this place very much. The food was great and the service was exceptional...friendly, fast, and courteous. Next time I'm in town, they are sure to get my business.

This place is cool! It kind of signifies a new beginning for this small town devastated by Katrina. And it is a very good start! Many restaurants will have big shoes to fill. You've got a bar, small flat screen tv's, upstairs/downstairs and patio. The service was good, nice atmosphere and scenic views of the Gulf. They pride themselves on the prices which is somewhat true. The red fish was still close to $24, but it was a fair price with your choice of soup/salad. The entire back of the menu designated as lunch can be ordered anytime which makes the prices seem lower, but the entrees are still up there. I had a cobb salad tonight which was nearly perfect and my lady shared the red fish with me. A very clean and respectful restaurant.

Sat outside and enjoyed the view. Excellent service. Great bloody Mary (just 3 bucks!). Oysters on the half shell were the best I've had. We were a large group and everyone was thoroughly satisfied with the quality food and service. The owner even visited with us which was a nice touch. Very sweet lady. Highly recommend this restaurant and will return.
